Tutoring, teaching and motherhood go hand in hand when I educate my daughter the wonders of nature in Spanish. Love to teach Spanish and science. Learning through play is the most fun.
Barbara, a Spanish native speaker from Argentina, believes that teaching the language and culture to her daughter is the most important aspect in her education. Barbara, with enthusiasm, energy and along with her daughter, she was able to develop different teaching techniques that can help children understand Spanish in innovated ways. Barbara also implements many of her science background in her projects and lessons to better grasp simple Spanish concepts.
When Barbara created Spanish4Kiddos, it was more than an online resource for those that want to pursue Spanish as a second language. It’s a resource for parents that want to introduce simple Spanish concepts to their children with more than books and software. Spanish4Kiddos is also the resource for those beginners in Spanish that want to refresh or pursue additional information.
This website is dedicated to those parents, caregivers, and educators who want to expand the learning experience of children. All of the articles, worksheets, science projects and experiments are thoroughly researched and tested. Bibliography and links are always included for additional information.
Barbara received a B.S. in Biochemistry from the Univ. of Houston, Houston, Texas in 1999 and a B.S. in Chemistry from the Univ. of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida in 2007. She worked in several chemical industries but her passion was always teaching. She also has performed extensive tutoring in subjects as language, reading, algebra, chemistry, biology, and Spanish. In fact, she tutored under the No-Child-Left-Behind (NCLB) program in 2007 to prevent students from failing elementary school.
Barbara loves education, so much that she is pursuing her education degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). She hopes to continue her passion in secondary education teaching adolescents about science. Spanish is still her passion as well, she will continue to post more interesting ways to teach and learn Spanish for any age.
She currently lives in Nevada along with her loving husband and her daughter. If you don’t find her tutoring in Spanish, science or math, she loves to gardening, cooking, and of course, spending time with her family.
